The Eagle has Landed

I have the 7 at home!

It arrived in Sparks yesterday but the shipper said they had no way to unload the 2 crates at my house. So I rented a U-haul moving truck early this morning & picked it up. The shipper loaded the long crate with the chassis in the truck, but the other (heavy 950 lbs) crate was too tall (over 6ft.) to go in. So I had to open it in the shippers parking lot and load up all the separate carboard boxes, seats, wheels etc.

When I got home we (Alex & I)  unloaded all the small stuff first, then has to deal with the big crate. We used the truck’s loading ramp & used a 1 ton ‘come-along’ connected between the crate and one of the posts in the barn. Then we basically jacked it out.

After un-crating the car and opening the boxes I did a high-level inventory. Looks like all the big items are here. Not sure that I have the patience to check every last nut & bolt (ie: James May, Top Gear), but I definately am not going to do a Jeremy Clarkson.
